on the crookedshore in advent

Things I saw on the crookedshore today, two days from the end of Advent:

  • my sun-lengthened shadow falling lightly on the seaweed at the head of the beach;
  • my smiling dog flat out chasing a black crow, who teased him by never climbing more that 2 metres off the sand;
  • the clear air revealing the hilly coast of Scotland
