catching the light

I was walking along the prom – the ‘sea’ is actually a muddy estuary: it’s tidal, but trust me, you wouldn’t want to swim in it!

As I walked along, buffeted by the wind, I noticed how the winter sun was catching the crests of the little waves, and changing the appearance of the water, making even this muddy estuary beautiful…

and i thought, even if it takes a long time for me to be transformed, if i let God’s light ‘catch’ even my ‘muddy waters’, they can be beautiful, right now, even just as they are…

because perhaps anything, touched with God’s light, reflects God’s beauty.
