We peer out our rain-battered window and witness the last leaves of a brave Magnolia finally surrender to Winter’s chilly wind. Inside, our spirits are warmed by the lights of a newly erected Christmas Tree (B&Q £14.99!), the flames of a phoenix fire and the simple and maybe niaive first film of Christmas 2007.
“The Preachers Wife” is not huge box office, not wonderfully acted and carries no great cinematography. But on a day like yesterday, it helped us remember, made us think and provoked thankfulness for the mysterious ways in which God incarnates Himself with us. “Who’d have imagined a God like this”
