The hope-laden Anticipation of Advent is Christmas

Good morning, everyone! I’m Shawn. You can normally find me at Lo-Fi Tribe. I consider it an honor and a privilege to join you all in contemplative writing and discussion concerning this Advent season.

I’m a husband who is sharing life with an incredibly wonderful woman and I’m a father to three wonderful children who absolutely love this time of year. Presently, I am planting and pastoring a church in Lancaster City, PA. We are just six months old and have much work to do! Life is busy but very, very good!

The hope-laden anticipation of Advent is Christmas. So, as winter begins to take hold of everything here in Eastern PA, and people begin to hide deep inside of their winter gear, or tuck themselves into the precious warmth of their homes, I am looking forward to this journey with you. I look forward to learning from you all as we intentionally celebrate, explore, and discover practical ways to carry this deep anticipation into our everyday relationships and communities.

It is an exciting time of year! The Incarnation should be celebrated and we know that hope still lives! So, let’s celebrate!
